Revert To Media Player 9

Trying to remove windows media player 10, so I can install with. executable file the previous version 9. I go to add remove programs/add remove win.
I have found that Revert Superior has been the skin I use the Most with wmp. While others have been okay for maybe a week before changing out, this one is usable on.

1 No, you can try to fix WMP12 though. Here are all the troubleshooting steps I ve found useful.
2 Check the whole set of WMP troubleshooters.
2.1 Control panel, Troubleshooting, Hardware sound -
then the online versions this might be a duplication of effort but I ve never been able to confirm that

2.3 Media player settings troubleshooter
3 Then, if the above have not fixed it, run Tools alt-t, Advanced, restore media library
If you have done all these things and library-related functions will still not work correctly then do the following steps
4 Delete the WMP library database to force a complete rebuild - Close WMP, in the Start menu search box type LOCALAPPDATA Microsoft Media Player In the Windows explorer window that appears delete all the files butnot sub-folders. See if that has fixed the problem.
5 Delete the WMP database cache - Close WMP, in the Start menu search box type LOCALAPPDATA Microsoft Media Player In the Windows explorer window that appears, select the Media Player folder in the left-hand pane delete it together with its sub-folders. See if that has fixed the problem.
6 If that hasn t fixed it then do both these steps they are the closest thing possible to uninstalling then reinstalling WMP
6.1 Unload WMP - Control Panel, Programs and Features, left-hand side Turn Windows features on or off, Media Features, clear Windows Media Player checkbox, Yes, OK, Restart the PC.
6.2 Reload WMP - Control Panel, Programs and Features, left-hand side Turn Windows features on or off, Media Features, set the Windows Media Player checkbox, Yes, OK, Restart the PC.
At the end of 6.2 you will effectively have a new installation of WMP.

Is it possible to uninstall Windows Media Player 11 and revert back to Windows Media Player 10.
If I am sent e-mails that need to be seen through Media Player, I am not able to see them. This has only been happening since I accepted an update for Media Player 11.

You could try and run the uninstall and see if that works. I recently restored my OS and it had 10 on there. That is the only way I could get it to work. 11 sucks and I hate it. So now I am back to 10 and ignore every update. 11 puts so many limits that 10 did not. Hopefully you wont have to restore your OS, but that might be the easiest way.

Just go to the control panel and uninstall media player 11 and then restart your computer. It will automatically go back to the previous version.
Did not like 11 so went back to 10.

go into the tools section of media player 11 and choose options..a page will appear with about 8 tabs on it. choose the file tab and make sure all boxes are marked.
it is probably that one of the file types that the e-mails are sent in isn t checked.thus you can t read them.

go to control panel and open add or remove program
click on windows component
but i think it may remove all Media player

Select Windows Media Player
remove it
Restart.
This will remove th latest updated version and bring back the old one.
cant unless you know some one that has 10 and download it into a disc and update unto your computer
